These are the Ceremonies that Fire Valley holds, each character in the pack is encouraged to participate in them if they can. Of course it is not punished if they don't.
Pairing Ceremony
When two wolves decide they want to be mates, they must come to a Chief and request a ceremony, which will be hosted either by the Chief or an Elder. It's essential that pairs do this so as the pairing is official. These ceremonies may be private or public, the pair can invite whoever they want or even no one at all. These ceremonies may be held anywhere.
Flowers are often gifted in Pairing Ceremonies, along with some other items.
Passing Ceremony
It's sad when a pack member passes into the unknown, which is why Fire Valleyians always hold ceremonies for anyone who has passed on. These ceremonies can be public or private, it's up to the kin of the dead to decide. Wolves are usually buried, or sometimes left as is if the family of the wolf requests that, but the passed must be dragged out of the den sites (if they're in it) and never thrown into the water sources.
Sometimes the dead are not found, depending on what happened to them, and will have no ceremony.
Birth Ceremony
Whenever a litter of pups are born, the pack gathers around the den entrance, bringing the parents flowers or other items. No one can enter the den though, unless the parents say they can.
This is a quick event, sometimes ending within a few minutes.
Gifts are not essential, if the pack wolves have none then they can simply congratulate the parents.
First Light Ceremony
This small yet important ceremony is held when pups first emerge from their den. Wolves gather around the den entrance once again, leaving room for the parents and pups to come out. They watch as the puppies take their first wobbly steps into the world.
Some wolves may bring gifts for the pups, most often smaller things that will last, such as feathers, deer antler tips, stones, or even a stick for the young ones to play with. Some have even been known to bring live grasshoppers for the pups.
Ranking Ceremony
When pups who have come to one year of age are assigned a rank they have studied under. This is an important ceremony as its like an opening to the pups life, when all their training and hard work comes together and they become an official apprentice to their rank.
Its preferred that parents of the pups or at least some guardian attends this ceremony, but of course its not punishable if they don't.
Gifts are not necessary for this event, but its optional.
